Dr. Smith earned her masters and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Connecticut. She completed a two-year pre-doctoral practicum, her APA-approved internship, and post-doctoral training at the Harvard Medical School/ Massachusetts Mental Health Center/ Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Prior to doctoral training, she graduated with highest honors from the University of California at Santa Cruz and then received a masters degree from the Department of Clinical Psychology at Columbia University. She has experience working in a range of clinical settings, including private practice, public psychiatry, community mental health centers, a partial hospital program, and a university counseling center. She has also provided clinical supervision to doctoral level trainees in clinical psychology.
